Community…
Today we are telling our stories about what it feels like to trust a friend. And not trust a friend.
You’re invited. Just as you are.
So let’s spend our five minutes of writing today, sharing about community. Fight it, love it, hate it, hurt or healed by it, we are certainly built for it.
Set a timer and just write. Don’t worry about making it just right or not.
Go all in with your words.
Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking
Are you ready?
Community…
GO…
When I think of community I think of our closest group of friends. The ones that have been there for us through thick and thin. The ones that our families get together for dinner and maybe a game of big inflatable ball volleyball. (Oh Yes We Did!) The ones that are kids all get along and we get to enjoy the time together. The babies above that bring excitement to the group!
These are the ones that are closest to our hearts. They have supported us through good times and challenging times. In the transition from the church we were all going to and God moved us. When we thought we might be moving. Although sad, they were there encouraging and praying for us. (Thankfully we aren’t moving!)
We are creating memories together that will last a lifetime. Football season and our weekly Sunday night get together for dinner and a football game. Springtime and BBQ’s and big inflatable ball volleyball games, in the dark! Card games and more.
Our children are developing friendships that will last a lifetime. Hubbies are bonding and developing their own community. And the women… well we all love to talk and eat and talk some more, and I enjoy my time with each of them.
I consider ourselves blessed to have a community of friends that are there for each other to encourage and pray for each other. Also to sit back, relax, and enjoy each other’s company.
It brings us JOY!

Yea for five minute Friday, and an ever expanding online community of women I will one day meet in glory and community with in person. Your monkeys are absolutely beautiful, adorable, and precious! Blessings to you this beautiful day!
Yes, what a glorious day that will be when we all get to meet and love together forever! And maybe we will be blessed to get to meet some before!!!! Thank you for the compliments on our monkeys and for stopping by. So glad to have you!!!
Oh the joy of friends who love us just the way we are! I praise God for them and know that they will “have my back” as the saying goes. And how much more blessed are we who have family that we love the same way…and you, Hubby, and the 2 monkeys are at the top of the list! Love you!!
